Everything on FishCompat — calculators, compatibility verdicts, species parameters, and articles — is reference information compiled from published sources. It is not professional, veterinary, or commercial advice. Living animals vary; always cross-check important decisions and observe your own tank.

Stocking, volume, and compatibility results are produced by documented heuristics — see the Methodology page. They are designed to be conservative, but no formula can guarantee outcomes in a living system.

Do not disrupt the service: no attempts to break, overload, or abuse the site or its forms, and no automated scraping at volumes that degrade the site for others.

The site's texts, design, and code belong to us. Species data is compiled from cited third-party sources — each species record lists them. You may quote and link to our pages freely with attribution; wholesale copying of the database is not allowed.
